Q: What areas does Redwood Concrete Pump serve?

A: We provide concrete line pumping across Sonoma, Napa, Marin, and Mendocino counties, with our home base in Santa Rosa. See our Service Areas menu for city-specific coverage details.

Q: What makes Redwood Concrete Pump different from other pumping companies?

A: We’re one of the few WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprises in the concrete pumping industry, DIR-registered for public works, and family-owned since 1981. Unlike most pumping subcontractors, our sister company, Redwood Empire Concrete Pumping Equipment, is an authorized Schwing OEM parts dealer and repair shop — so our fleet gets serviced in-house instead of waiting on an outside vendor.

Q: Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

A: Yes. We’re fully licensed, bonded, and insured, and we carry an active DIR Public Works Contractor Registration (#1000010460) for prevailing-wage projects.

Q: Do you provide concrete pumping for public works and government projects?

A: Yes. We’re a DIR-registered Public Works Contractor and WBENC-Certified WBE (#1600964), and we handle certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance on every public works job. See our Public Works & Government page for details.

Q: How far can your pumps reach?

A: Our Schwing SP 500 line pumps handle long-distance and hillside pours, with hose runs frequently exceeding 1,000 feet on remote or difficult-access sites.

Q: Will the pump damage my driveway or landscaping?

A: No — line pumps are built to navigate tight residential access without the weight and turning radius of a full-size mixer truck, so we can protect your existing driveway, landscaping, and hardscaping.

Q: How much lead time do I need to book a pour?

A: We recommend booking 3 days to a week in advance, and earlier during peak season (spring/summer). Call our dispatch team and we’ll work to accommodate your schedule.

Q: Do you work with homeowners on small projects?

A: Absolutely. No project is too small. We regularly work with homeowners who’ve never booked a pump before and are happy to walk you through the process from start to finish.

Q: What equipment do you run?

A: Our fleet runs on high-performance Schwing SP 500 line pumps, serviced and maintained in-house by our sister company, Redwood Empire Concrete Pumping Equipment — an authorized Schwing OEM parts dealer.

Q: Can you handle specialty mixes like bentonite grout or lightweight concrete?

A: Yes. We have extensive experience pumping sensitive, high-resistance mixes for well abatements, sanitary seals, and lightweight multi-story builds, managing line pressure carefully to avoid plugs.

Q: How do you ensure safety on complex or tight-access job sites?

A: Our operators are ACPA-certified and trained to continuously monitor line pressure and hydraulic conditions throughout the pour, which helps prevent equipment failures or line separations on-site.

Q: Do you provide on-site consultations before a pour?

A: Yes. For complex or non-standard pours — hillside driveways, tight rear-yard access, remote utility work — we walk the site in advance to plan elevation changes, access routes, and pressure requirements.

Q: How do I get an estimate?

A: Call our dispatch team or submit a request through our contact page. Have your yardage, hose-length needs, and any site access challenges ready, and we can often give you an accurate estimate over the phone.

Q: Do you sell or rent concrete finishing tools too?

A: Yes. We’re an authorized distributor of Marshalltown Tools and can deliver finishing trowels, hand floats, edgers, and more directly to your job site with your scheduled pour.
